Cell viability assay in H9c2 cells subjected to 90 min simulated ischemia followed by 30 min of reperfusion. Astragaloside IV applied during ischemia only did not improve cell viability (AstIV (I)), compared with the ischemia/reperfusion control (I/R). Astragaloside IV given at reperfusion for 30 min significantly increased cell viability (AstIV (R)).
