Egr-1 KO inhibits ECs proliferation induced by mechanical stretch stimulation. ECs were isolated from WT (above) and Egr-1 KO (below) mice. The ECs were submitted or not to mechanical stretch for 24 h, and BrdU staining was performed 24 h later. Cells were counted in 4 or 5 different views (×100) under fluorescence microscope and repeated 4 times. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM. * versus WT/ST group.
