Vernonia condensata Baker (Asteraceae): A Promising Source of Antioxidants

HPLC chromatogram of the ethyl acetate fraction of Vernonia condensata. The analysis was performed using a binary solvent system A (water pH adjusted to 4.0 with H3PO4), B (acetonitrile) in an isocratic run. The elution conditions applied were 0–30 min, 20% B. It was run at a flow rate of 0.6 mL/min over 30 minutes, with an injection volume (“loop”) of 50 μL and UV detection was at 330 nm.
