Inhibitory effects of propolis on the hypoxia-induced proinflammatory cytokine secretion by cultured microglia. The mean concentration of IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6 in the culture medium of MG6 microglia exposed to normoxia (20% O2) or hypoxia (1% O2) in the presence or absence of propolis (50 μg/mL) for 24 h was measured by ELISA.
