Effects of propofol on survival of mice treated with LPS. Wild type C57BL/6 mice were pretreated with 10% intralipid or propofol (50 mg/kg, i.p.) followed by LPS (20 mg/kg, i.p.) as described in Section 2. After LPS administration, survival of mice was monitored at every 12 h for 72 h. Survival was significantly decreased in LPS group () and propofol partially reversed by propofol () compared with control () and propofol alone () group ( compared with control group; compared with LPS group).
