(b) Apigenin lowered the expression of PAI-2 and phosphorylation of Akt Ser473. Cells were treated with apigenin (50 μM) or DMSO (0.1%) for 48 h after 1 h pretreatment with OxLDL (50 μg/mL). The Akt inhibitor (MK2206, 4 μM) was used as a positive control. Proteins from cultured cells were extracted for Western blotting. Results shown are the representative of three independent experiments. -actin was used as a loading control.
