Thiosemicarbazone p-Substituted Acetophenone Derivatives Promote the Loss of Mitochondrial , GSH Depletion, and Death in K562 Cells

Viability of K562 and PBMN cells after 3 and 6 h of incubation with TSC-Me and TSC-NO₂. (a) K562 and (b) PBMN cell viability was evaluated by the MTT reduction test. Cells (2 × 10⁵ per well) were incubated with different concentrations of drug for 3 and 6 h. After the incubation, MTT was added and the absorbance at 630 nm was measured. The percentage of viable cells after treatment with TSC-Me and TSC-NO₂ is expressed relative to the control (absence of TSC compounds), which was considered as 100%. Results presented are means S.D. of three independent experiments.
