EDA attenuates IAA-induced CGNs apoptosis. CGNs were preincubated with or without EDA for 2 h followed by exposure to 50 μM IAA for another 4 h. (a) Cell apoptosis was assessed by Hoechst 33342 staining and observed by fluorescent microscopy (400x magnification). Apoptotic nuclei with condensed chromatin were indicated by red arrows. (b) The amount of apoptosis nuclei was counted from three representative photomicrographs and was represented as a percentage of the total number of nuclei counted. ^# versus Ctrl; ^* and ^** versus IAA alone group.
