Role of Circulating miRNAs as Biomarkers in Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension: Possible Relevance of miR-23a

miR23a inhibition results in an increase in the relative expression levels of PGC1α. Human small vascular pulmonary artery endothelial cells (HSVPAEC) were cultured and transfected with the anti-miR23a MH10644 for up to 72 hours. Every 24 hours total RNA was extracted and analyzed by real-time RT-PCR for PGC1α (a) or for CYC, SOD, NRF2, and HO1 (b). Three independent experiments were included in each experimental group. Results are represented as mean ± SEM. compared to mock transfected cells.
