HMGB1 is abundant in cytoplasmic renal tubules of CIH group, compared with nuclear patterns of HMGB1 in NA group. sRAGE gradually attenuates HMGB1 cytoplasmic deposition, intraluminal infiltration, and nuclear staining in expanded renal tubules.
