Effects of HOCl-alb on ICAM-1 expression in HUVECs. HUVECs were stimulated with the indicated concentrations of HOCl-alb or 200 mg/L unmodified Alb for the indicated times, and then their ICAM-1 protein and mRNA expression were analyzed. HOCl-alb treatment increased ICAM-1 expression at both the protein (a, b, c) and mRNA levels (d, e) in a dose- and time-dependent manner.
