Effect of THSG on the luciferase reporter activity of the klotho gene. HEK-293 cells that were transiently transfected with luciferase reporter plasmids driven by a human klotho promoter (from −1000 to +299) and reporter pRL-SV40 plasmid containing the Renilla luciferase gene as normalization were stimulated with the indicated doses of THSG for 16 h.
