Effect of coconut oil on the metabolic activity and dehydrogenases activity in total homogenate of flies treated during seven days with a RD or a HFD. After seven days on the diets, flies were homogenized and centrifuged according to protocols and the samples were utilized for dehydrogenases activity (three sets of twenty flies were analyzed for each diet condition) by the resazurin reduction test in (a) and the metabolic activity (approximately 60 mg fly tissues were used for each diet condition) by MTT assay in (b).
