Effect of chronic ethanol and curcumin onPON1 mRNA expression in livers of rats fed low and high ω-3 PUFA diets. The animals in the indicated groups () were pair-fed their respective Lieber-DeCarli control or alcohol containing liquid diets for 8 weeks after which the animals were killed and each liver was analyzed for PON1 mRNA as described in Section 2.
