[Retracted] The Favorable Effect of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Treatment on the Antioxidant Protective Mechanism in the Corneal Epithelium and Renewal of Corneal Optical Properties Changed after Alkali Burns

Figure 7

Central corneal thickness of healthy, alkali-injured, and stem cell treated corneas. The corneas were injured with alkali and untreated or treated with nanofiber scaffold alone (Nano) or with nanofiber scaffolds seeded with BM-MSCs, Ad-MSCs, or LSCs. Central corneal thickness was measured in the same rabbit before injury (day 0) and on days 5 and 15 after the injury. Each bar represents the mean ± SD from 6 corneas. The values (black asterisks) for day 5 are statistically different from untreated injured corneas on day 5; similarly, the values for day 15 (black asterisks) are statistically different from untreated injured corneas on day 15 (, ) (n.s.: not significant). The values for day 15 (red asterisks) are statistically different from the values before injury, day 0 () (n.s.: not significant).
