EGCG significantly inhibited reactive oxygen species-induced cell death. Cell death was induced by lethal concentration of H₂O₂ (100 μM) applied for 24 hours. (a) 10 μM EGCG significantly reversed the detrimental effects of H₂O₂ on metabolic activity, measured by MTT assay (). (b) 10 μM EGCG also significantly increased cell viability in oxidative stress, as measured by Propidium Iodide/Annexin staining ().
