Ghrelin Protects Human Lens Epithelial Cells against Oxidative Stress-Induced Damage

<div>Ghrelin prevented H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>-induced cellular apoptosis in HLECs. HLECs were preincubated with ghrelin (10<sup>−9</sup>–10<sup>−6</sup> M) for 12 h before being treated with 100 <i>μ</i>M H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> for 24 h.
