Cytoprotective Effects of Citicoline and Homotaurine against Glutamate and High Glucose Neurotoxicity in Primary Cultured Retinal Cells

<div>Cotreatment of citicoline and homotaurine protects retinal cells against glutamate-induced cytotoxicity. MTT assay was performed to detect cell viability after treatment with CitC and Hot against glutamate-induced cytotoxicity in retinal cells. The combined administration of citcoline and homotaurine demonstrated a significant synergistic cytoprotective effect. The results represent the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments.
