Role of Ras signaling in HIV-1 Tat-induced changes in intracellular ROS levels. Exposure to HIV-1 Tat for 24 h significantly increased intracellular ROS levels in HBEC-5i cells. Pretreatment with 5 μmol/L FTS and then coexposure to HIV-1 Tat and FTS markedly attenuated HIV-1 Tat-induced intracellular ROS production.
