Flaxseed oil supplement increased mRNA and protein expressions of hepatic PPARα, CPT1A, and ACOX1 in mice. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR and Western blot analysis of the mRNA and protein expressions of (a-b) PPARα, (c-d) CPT1A, and (e-f) ACOX1 in the liver of mice in each group. Fold changes of mRNA levels were determined after normalization to internal control β-actin RNA levels. Blotting with anti-β-actin was used as a protein loading control. Protein expressions were presented as fold change relative to control. Representative immunoblots are shown.
