Hcy exerted an adverse effect on HUVEC viability. (a) The dose-dependent effects of Hcy treatment for 12 hours or the time-dependent effects of 2.0 mM Hcy treatment on cell viability were evaluated via CCK-8 assays (). (b) The apoptotic rate was assessed by Annexin V/PI double staining, and the percentage of apoptotic cells was determined based on a flow cytometric analysis. A statistical analysis of the total recorded apoptotic cells induced by Hcy at various durations was performed, and the results are shown in the bar graphs ().
