Galaxamide and its analogue induced apoptosis in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells. (a) MCF-7 cells were treated with 0, 2.5, 5.0, and 10.0 μg/mL galaxamide (A) and compound 3 (B) for 48 h. The apoptosis of MCF-7 cells was determined by Annexin V/PI staining. Q1 (the upper left) quadrant represents necrotic cells, Q2 (the upper right) quadrant represents late apoptotic and dead cells, Q3 (the bottom left) represents normal cells, and Q4 (the bottom right) quadrant represent early apoptotic cells.
