ROS regulates the PI3K/Akt pathway, which is activated by H. pylori infection. (a) Gastric epithelial cells (GES-1) were incubated with H. pylori (multiplicity of infection (MOI) = 100) for various lengths of time. Immunoblots of GSK-3β, p-GSK-3β (Ser9), Akt, p-Akt (Ser473), APE-1, and beta-actin expression. (b) GES-1 cultures were incubated for 6 h at various H. pylori MOI.
