Metallothionein-I + II Reduces Oxidative Damage and Apoptosis after Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury in Rats

<div>Spinal cord tissue metallothionein (MT) levels of rats submitted to either spinal cord injury or sham operation and evaluated at 12 (a) and 24 h (b) after surgery and treated with saline solution (SS) or MT (10 <i>μ</i>g/rat). Sham: rats without spinal cord injury; SCI: rats at two times after spinal cord injury.
