DUOX1 Silencing in Mammary Cell Alters the Response to Genotoxic Stress

Characterization of DUOX1-silenced cell. Nontumor MCF12A cells were silenced for DUOX1 by shRNA (shDUOX1) and compared to the scramble control (shCTRL). DUOX1 mRNA levels were evaluated by quantitative RT-PCR (a), while intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels (b) and mitochondrial ROS production (c) were evaluated by flow cytometry utilizing the CM-H2DCF-DA and MitoSOX probes, respectively. Results are expressed as mean ± SEM of two independent experiments. .
