Tanshinone IIA Pretreatment Protects H9c2 Cells against Anoxia/Reoxygenation Injury: Involvement of the Translocation of Bcl-2 to Mitochondria Mediated by 14-3-3η

Figure 1

Effects of Tanshinone IIA (TSN) preconditioning on lactate dehydrogenase activity, cell viability, and 14-3-3η expression in H9c2 cells subjected to anoxia/reoxygenation (A/R). (a, b) Cells were treated in a dose-dependent manner with 2 μM to 32 μM for 24 hours prior to induction of A/R. (c, d, e, f) Cells were treated in a time-dependent manner from 12 hours to 48 hours prior to A/R. (e, f) The time-dependent effect of TSN preconditioning on 14-3-3η expression. Control group represents cells without any treatment. β-Actin served as a loading control. Values are presented as the for five individual experiments. (A) versus control group; (B) versus A/R group; (C) versus 1% DMSO group; (D) versus A/R group; (E) versus 1% DMSO group; (F) versus 8 μM TSN + A/R (48 hours) group.
