Protein expression of PrP^C in GH3 cells and PC12 cells. Rat pituitary GH3 cells and pheochromocytoma PC12 cells were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated FBS at 37°C in 5% CO₂, 95% air in a humidified cell incubator. To investigate the role of CaBP-28k in PC12 cells, cells were transfected with siRNA for CaBP-28k using Lipofectamine 2000. Expression of PrP^C protein was analyzed by Western blot as described in Experimental Procedures.
