Modulation of Oxidative Status by Normoxia and Hypoxia on Cultures of Human Dermal Fibroblasts: How Does It Affect Cell Aging?

<div>Cellular DNA damage in HDF assessed using the standard alkaline comet assay. HDF were serially passaged under the two oxygen tensions (21% O<sub>2</sub> and 5% O<sub>2</sub>), and at matched cell passage, the intensity of fluorescence in the tail was analyzed in young (Y) and old (O) HDF. The data are reported as the average of the median values of tail intensity.
