MicroRNA miR-24-3p Reduces Apoptosis and Regulates Keap1-Nrf2 Pathway in Mouse Cardiomyocytes Responding to Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

Figure 3

Apoptosis of cardiomyocytes following the transfection of miR-24-3p mimic or miR-24-3p inhibitor into H9C2 cardiomyocytes. A total number of 1 × 105 treated cells were detected by flow cytometry after Annexin V-FITC staining for apoptotic cells. Apoptosis-induced cardiomyocytes were gated into the right upper quadrant (Q2) of each panel while the left bottom quadrant (Q3) contains normal cells and (Q4) cells that were in very early apoptosis according to PI intensity and FSC, as described. (a) H9C2 cells treated only with SI/R, (b) H9C2 cells transfected with miR-24-3p mimic, or (c) H9C2 cells transfected with miR-24-3p inhibitor.
