Common mtDNA deletion (Δ-mtDNA⁴⁹⁷⁷) upon Aβ_1–42 treatment and/or irradiation in SH-SY5Y cells. (a, b) 2 Gy X-rays led to a significant increase in mtDNA deletion after 54 h at both 21% and 5% O₂.
