The Phenolic Components of <i>Gastrodia elata</i> improve Prognosis in Rats after Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion by Enhancing the Endogenous Antioxidant Mechanisms

<div>Western blots for BDNF, HO-1, and NQO-1 expressions in astrocytes. Protein was prepared from primary astrocytes in the absence (control) or presence of PCGE (15 and 25 <i>μ</i>g/ml) for 24 h treatment. Histograms show the mean optical density (OD) for each band expressed relative to the corresponding <i>β</i>-actin levels for each sample, for a total of 4 samples for each group.
