Protective Effects of Taraxasterol against Ethanol-Induced Liver Injury by Regulating CYP2E1/Nrf2/HO-1 and NF-<i>κ</i>B Signaling Pathways in Mice

<div>Effects of taraxasterol on the expressions of Nrf2, HO-1, I<i>κ</i>B<i>α</i>, and NF-<i>κ</i>B p65 in liver tissues of mice with ethanol-induced liver injury. The mice were treated with taraxasterol (2.5, 5, and 10 mg/kg, respectively) or TPN and induced with EtOH as described in Materials and Methods. The expressions of Nrf2, HO-1, I<i>κ</i>B<i>α</i>, and NF-<i>κ</i>B p65 in liver tissues were measured by Western blot analysis. The relative expressions of these proteins were normalized to <i>β</i>-actin.
