Niacin Protects against Butyrate-Induced Apoptosis in Rumen Epithelial Cells

Figure 1

Effects of different concentrations of butyrate on the response ratio (RR) of relative cell viability. Rumen epithelial cells were treated with various concentrations of butyrate for 6 h, and cell viability was determined by MTT assay. Data are presented as the RR. (ODtreated/ODuntreated), where RR is the response ratio, ODtreated refers to the OD value of treated cells, ODuntreated is the OD value of untreated cells, indicates an increase in relative viability in treated cells compared with untreated cells, and indicates a decrease in the relative viability of treated cells compared with untreated cells. Values with different letters indicate significant differences ().
