Dihydrocaffeic Acid Prevents UVB-Induced Oxidative Stress Leading to the Inhibition of Apoptosis and MMP-1 Expression via p38 Signaling Pathway

<div>Capacity of DHCA to decrease antioxidant defense depletion induced by UVB. L929 cells were treated with 35 <i>μ</i>M DHCA for 1 h, irradiated with UVB (600 mJ/cm<sup>2</sup>), and after 24 h, CAT (a) and SOD (b) activities and GSH levels (c) were evaluated by H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> consumption at 240 nm, pyrogallol oxidation and <i>ο</i>-phthalaldehyde assays, respectively.
