PCA protected rats against Lieber-DeCarli diet-induced alcoholic liver injury. Rats were fed either a normal diet (ND) or a Lieber-DeCarli diet (ALD) alone or in combination with PCA: (a) serum ALT levels, (b) serum AST levels, (c) serum TC levels, (d) serum TG levels, (e) liver TC levels, and (f) liver TG levels; (g) liver tissue sections were stained with H&E. .
