Nico alleviated LPS-induced loss of VE-cadherin in HPAECs. (a) Western blotting showed that Nico pretreatment protected the reduced expression of VE-cadherin. (b) Immunofluorescence staining revealed that Nico pretreatment partially recovered the internalization of VE-cadherin caused by LPS. Gli could reverse the alternations elicited by Nico. Data were shown as of at least three independent experiments performed in triplicate. Statistically significant differences: versus the control group; versus the LPS group; versus the LPS+Nico group.
