Hepatoprotective Effects of Morchella esculenta against Alcohol-Induced Acute Liver Injury in the C57BL/6 Mouse Related to Nrf-2 and NF-κB Signaling

Figure 2

Nrf-2 signaling is involved in ME-mediated hepatoprotection against alcohol-induced acute liver injury. Fourteen-day ME and Sil administration reduced the expression levels of Keap-1 and enhanced the expression levels of Nrf-2 and its downstream proteins including CAT, HO-1, HO-2, SOD-1, and SOD-2 in the livers of alcohol-damaged mice. Protein expression levels were normalized to that of GAPDH. Data are expressed as (). #, ##, and ### vs. control mice, , , and vs. alcohol only treated mice. ME: M. esculenta, Sil: silybin.
