Classic Prescription, Kai-Xin-San, Ameliorates Alzheimer’s Disease as an Effective Multitarget Treatment: From Neurotransmitter to Protein Signaling Pathway

KXS inhibited hyperphosphorylation of Tau by activating the PI3K/Akt/GSK-3β signaling pathway. KXS upregulated the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, restored the phosphorylation activity of GSK-3β (Ser9), and decreased the degree of Tau phosphorylation caused by Aβ25-35 and D-gal.
