The phosphorylation changes at serine<sup>473</sup> and threonine<sup>450</sup> of Akt along with the prosurvival factor Bcl-2 were assessed using the Western blotting assay. <i>β</i>-Actin was used as an internal control to ensure equal loading.</div>
