Blue Light Irradiation Induces Human Keratinocyte Cell Damage via Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) Regulation

Figure 2

Blue light irradiation inhibits the EGFR/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway by degrading EGFR. (a) HaCaT cells were irradiated using the indicated intensity of blue light with a wavelength of 470–480 nm once daily for three consecutive days. (b) On the fourth day, 24 h after the last irradiation, the cells were harvested and subjected to Western blotting analysis and real-time PCR analysis for analyzing the TRPV1 and EGFR levels. (c) HaCaT cells were irradiated using blue light for 30 min and incubated for the indicated time periods. The cells were harvested immediately after the incubation and subjected to Western blotting analysis for quantifying the phosphorylation levels of AKT and its downstream molecules (GSK3β and FoxO3a). vs. the control group.
