Puerarin ameliorated depressive-like behaviors in the LPS-challenged mice. (a) The chemical structure of puerarin was shown. (b) The design of the animal experiments. Mice were separated into 5 groups: control, LPS, and LPS+puerarin (30, 60, or 120 mg/kg). After drug treatment, mice were assessed for depressive-like behaviours, and brain tissue was collected for the bioassays. (c) Forced swim test (FST). The depressive-like behaviors of mice were evaluated by measuring immobility time during 4 min. (d) Tail suspension test (TST).
