Quercetin Reverses Cardiac Systolic Dysfunction in Mice Fed with a High-Fat Diet: Role of Angiogenesis

Systemic characteristics () in C57BL/6J mice. High-fat diet (HFD) increased body and heart weights, plasma total cholesterol, and triglyceride, which quercetin partially alleviated. HFD also tended to induce insulin resistance, reflected in homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) index.
