ROS scavenger reduces stored platelet receptor shedding and apoptosis during platelet storage. PRP was pretreated with or without NAC (5 mM), then stored at room temperature on a rocking agitator with continuous agitation. PRP were harvested and analyzed at designated time points (2 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 96 h).
