Salivary Proteome, Inflammatory, and NETosis Biomarkers in Older Adult Practitioners and Nonpractitioners of Physical Exercise

Levels of VEGF and inflammatory markers, as well as the ratio between anti-inflammatory (IL-10) and proinflammatory (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL8) cytokines in the saliva of nonpractitioners (NPE) and practitioners (PE) of physical exercise groups. VEGF (a), CRP (b), IL-10 (c), IL-1β (d), TNF-α (e), IL-6 (f), and IL-8 (g) were evaluated by the ELISA method. Data are shown as the median and interquartile range for 4–6 participants in terms of pg/mg of total protein.
