Deletion of ACLY Disrupts Histone Acetylation and IL-10 Secretion in Trophoblasts, Which Inhibits M2 Polarization of Macrophages: A Possible Role in Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion

<div>Location of ACLY in human placental tissue during early pregnancy. ACLY expression in cytotrophoblasts (CTBs), syncytiotrophoblasts (STBs), and extravillous trophoblasts (EVTs), as detected using immunohistochemistry (a) and immunofluorescence (b). Cytokeratin 7 (CK7) and human leukocyte antigen-G (HLA-G) were used as markers of CTBs and EVTs, respectively. Specific fluorescence staining of ACLY is stained red, CK7 or HLA-G is stained green, and the nucleus is stained blue (DAPI staining). All images are of a 200x visual field under the microscope.
