The mechanism of FA on alleviating HSCs activation. FA alleviated TGF-β1-induced LX2 cells activation at least in part through four ways. (1) Inhibiting oxidative stress by NOX4/ROS pathway. (2) Modulating proliferation and migration of HSCs by PI3K/Akt pathway. (3) Promoting apoptosis of HSCs by Bax/Bcl2 pathway. (4) Regulating the remolding of extracellular matrix.
