aThe selection criteria included patients diagnosed with idiopathic PD, no cognitive impairment, no history of hearing impairment, and no previous speech therapy rehabilitation. The cognitive state of the patients was evaluated using either the Mattis Dementia Rating Scale [30] or the Mini-Mental State Examination [31]. None of the participants had any evidence of cognitive impairment. bNone of the control subjects had any history of hearing or cognitive impairment or other neurologic or psychiatric disease.
