Effects of the standardized extract from M. urundeuva (SEMU) on the rotarod test, in a rat model of Parkinson’s disease. SEMU (5, 10, 20, and 40 mg/kg, p.o.) was administered, 1 h after the stereotaxic surgery (unilateral injection of 6-OHDA into the right striatum) and daily for 14 days. The animals were placed upon a spinning bar (12 rpm), and the number of falls was determined for 1 min. The values are means ± SEM from 5 animals per group.
