Crocetin inhibits inflammation in the MPTP-induced PD model. (a) The protein level of iNOS, COX2, p-p65, pro-caspase-1, and cleaved-caspase-1 in the striatum of crocetin-treated PD mice was measured using Western blot assay. (b) The expression of Iba-1 in the striatum was detected using the immunofluorescent assay. (c) The level of TNF-α and IL-1β in the serum of crocetin-treated PD mice was detected by ELISA. (d) The mRNA level of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, iNOS, and COX-2 in the striatum were measured using RT-qPCR. Data are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation, and statistical analysis was performed using a one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s post hoc test. versus control; , versus MPTP.
