Animals were instilled with either 5 × 1 0 1 0 viral particles ( 𝑛 = 3 /group) or 1 × 1 0 1 0 viral particles ( 𝑛 = 4 /group) rAd-Luc intratracheally using either saline or as a PP2:PP9 PFC suspension. Mice were anesthetized, and images were acquired at the time indicated using a cooled CCD camera and imaging system (IVIS50, Xenogen Corp). Luminescence was quantified using Living Image software with a constant region of interest. Values represent the mean ± standard deviation.
